Homestudy

We began our homestudy last week. It was the first of four meetings. To be honest, the first meeting was pretty much pointless. All it did was put a name with a face for the company we are working with to adopt. However, we have our 2nd and 3rd meetings for our homestudy this week. On Friday Nikki and I will take our psycho/social exams to see if we are fit to be parents and stable adults. I'm not worried about my side, but Nikki is a different story. JUST KIDDING!! Ha!Ha! honey!
Then we have an immense amount of paperwork. It's kinda silly really. We have to get almost everything notarized, but that isn't enough. Then we have to take the notarized forms to the County Clerk of the county that the notary was comissioned in and make sure it's valid. WOW! What a bureaucratic mess.
But I am sure it will all be worth it in the end. I try to remember that our adoption by God was costly and required sacrifice. So it is fitting that our adoption of a child requires the same.
