Home Study

I've heard a million times that the adoption process is slow and requires much patience, which I always believed. But I never knew HOW very slow it can feel at times- times when there is absolutely nothing you can do to help speed the process along.

But, alas, we have scheduled the first of three meetings with our Home Study Specialist for October 24th (just in time to avoid the increase in home study fees that they just announced to be effective November 1st- praise God!) Our first meeting with Mandy will be at her office. I've only spoken with her on the phone once, but she seems very kind and genuinely excited for us and others adopting from Ethiopia.

So essentially, we're still waiting. But at least we have something to anticipate!
